Three Monthly Checkup

Three Monthly Checkup

Three monthly checkup today, still stable it seems, it’s not possible to know for sure without a scan, but certainly encouraging that bloods are ok and no new lumps in the areas that can be examined. One of the main tumour sites last time was in my lower abdomen and interestingly that has shrunk further since I finished the lenalidomide eleven months ago and is not really detectable now. I'd rather not be able to feel my tumours. Lymphoma though does tend to grow somewhere new each time. The blood test also isn’t conclusive, one time the inflammatory markers did rise, another time they stayed normal. It’s annoying there isn’t a conclusive blood test but that’s just how it is.

It was a locum consultant today, not ideal, my previous consultant has moved hospital and there is no permanent replacement yet. I tried to discuss bispecifics again but didn’t get very far with that.

I’m increasingly of the view that bispecifics is the most likely best option for me next time, probably mosunetuzumab, but NICE still won’t fund it for follicular so my mission continues to find a way of getting it when the time comes.

The photo is not this year btw, that was my walk to the hospital in February 2019. It was a soggy mud patch today.
